• A group of more than 20 people is required for official guiding at the sites (Temple of Hera and Monastery)
• Knees and shoulders MUST BE CLOSED when visiting the monastery
• In case of low participation, the tour can be conducted in two languages at the same time (e.g. Dutch and German)
• Guests arriving from Karlovassi may have to take a taxi to meet the bus from Votsalakia at the Agii Theodori intersection
• This excursion is not suitable for guests with limited mobility

According to the historian Herodotus, Samos was once home to the largest temple in Greece, dedicated to Hera, located in the southern part of the island. The island was also the birthplace of brilliant minds such as Pythagoras and Epicurus, the father of mathematics and philosopher.

The people of Samos are known for their warm and hospitable nature. The island is not only rich in history, but also in flora and is famous for its natural beauty and vegetation.

Join this full-day tour to get to know the Samios way of life, culture and traditions better. This tour is especially designed for guests staying in the Karlovassi and Votsalakia areas.

ITINAERER

• Stop in Koumeika for a visit to the oil production factory
• Watch a ceramic demonstration at a ceramic workshop in Koumaradei
• Guided tour of Timios Stavros Monastery or Megali Panagia
• Stop at the Temple of Hera (no entry on Tuesday). Groups of 20 or more people will be provided with English guidance
• Visit Pythagorion, the main tourist center of the island and free time for lunch (lunch not included)
• Head to Samos Town for a photo stop, then continue to Kokkari where you will have free time to explore
• Visit a winery near the village of Kondeika to learn about the local wine culture and wine tasting
